E-learning training
This training in January 2023 was organized in the frame of two projects: • Building Capacity in Education, Research, Innovation and Societal Outreach to Foster an Inclusive and Sustainable Built Environment in a Rapidly Urbanizing City, Dar Es Salaam (SDG 11 In Dar Es Salaam) - VLIR-UOS IUC. • AHUMAIN - Applied Human Machine Intelligence - Erasmus+ KA2 Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education For both projects, it is important to train teaching staff in an early stage in the development of e-learning courses, the possibilities, the pedagogics and the technical repercussions. At the same time digital learning and training resources will be useful for dissemination of the project's results beyond the consortia.
Kick-off meeting
The Kick Off Meeting was intended to make an operational, administrative and managerial start of the AHUMAIN project. On the operational part, all the different Work Packages were discussed, in a sufficient detailed manner, to come to a Work Plan, in which all partners will know their duties, goals and expectations. On the administrative and managerial side, the partnership agreement were discussed, with the rights and duties of all partners, the budget transfer provisions, quality assurance, communication means and online cooperative tools. To make sure we also get the right context for all participants, the findings of the local stakeholders meeting was presented and two tours are organized to investigate and witness the local economic activities, traditional activities and new innovation and ambitions activities.

Call for external evaluator
The AHUMAIN project is looking for an external evaluator to follow up on the continuous quality assurance of the AHUMAIN project, to review the project and provide recommendation during the project on the achievements, implementation and performance, including the followed QA methodology.

Expert training artificial intelligence
This training is organized in the frame of three projects:
• Building Capacity in Education, Research, Innovation and Societal Outreach to Foster an Inclusive and Sustainable Built Environment in a Rapidly Urbanizing City, Dar Es Salaam (SDG 11 In Dar Es Salaam) – VLIR-UOS IUC.

• VLIR-UOS International Training Program (ITP) with Karume Institute of Science and Technology
The training will provide an introduction to AI, after which various ML techniques will be covered, theoretically and in practice. To ensure relevance, a real use case is covered, concerning air quality.

Tender for AI Cluster Equipment
The AHUMAIN project is looking for supplier to deliver the AI Cluster Equipment, which will serve as a private cloud for all academic partners and deployed at RENU, to train demanding AZI models upon.
Both African and European suppliers are welcome to submit an offer.
